Principle
Important protein (LP) particles in peripheral blood include high-density LP (HDL, 5-12 nm, 1.063-1.210 g/cm3), low-density LP (LDL, 18-25 nm, 1.019-1.063 g/cm3), medium High-density lipoproteins (IDL, 25-35 nm, 1.006-1.019 g/cm3), very low-density lipoproteins (VLDL, 30-80 nm, 0.930-1.006 g/cm3) and chylomicrons (75-1200 nm, < 0.930 g/ cm3 ) . LipoMin is an excellent tool for the elimination of such lipoprotein in you SEC or UC isolated samples. Maximum EV recovery is achieved (over 93%) while the lipoproteins are removed from the sample (around 98% lipoproteins removed) .Sample Preparation
1.Preliminary step: : Prepare sample: with size exclusion columns or by ultracentrifugation to obtain your EV fraction
2.Remove lipoproteins from the EV fraction: LipoMin utilizes functional magnetic beads in 10 minutes. Add the LipoMin beads to your SEC or UC EV fraction, incubate 10 min at RT. Aspirate the purified EVs while retaining the beads with a magnet (also available from LabOmics).
